Why stainless steel
A staple holds the seam mechanically: it sinks 1–1.5 mm into the plastic and works as reinforcement inside the part. That is why the staple material matters more than it seems.
Ordinary steel rusts inside the seam over time, swells and cracks the plastic again along the staple edge. Stainless steel keeps its volume, does not stain the plastic with rust and survives vibration and washing.
All our staples are stainless steel in two thicknesses: 0.6 mm for thin plastic up to 3 mm and 0.8 mm for bumpers, tanks and loaded areas.
