Which welder to choose
A hot stapler heats the staple in 2–3 seconds and melts it into the plastic. The higher the power, the faster it reaches working temperature and the less it drops during a run of seams.
50 W is enough for home use and small parts. For bumpers, tanks and daily garage work take 100 W or more.
Check what is in the box: some kits already include staples in several shapes plus a pouch or case. That is cheaper than buying them separately.
Do I need to buy consumables separately?
Staples are consumables, so you top them up. Some kits include a starter quantity, but for regular work packs are bought separately.
Can I weld with a rod using this machine?
Working with rods needs a nozzle or a separate welder with a flat tip. A hot stapler is made for staples.
