When you need mesh
The mesh is melted into the back and works as a frame: it spreads load across an area rather than along the seam.
Use it where the part flexes or holds a mount: bumper corners, areas around broken tabs, spots where a piece broke off.
A 15×21 cm sheet covers a typical corner or mounting area. Take 30×60 cm when you repair often: the mesh cuts easily with scissors.
Can I do without mesh?
A straight crack in flat surface needs only staples and a rod. Mesh is for loaded areas.
